One Last Stop is the perfect sophomore release by Casey McQuiston. While Red, White, and Royal Blue saw the fast and risky relationship of two queer men, One Last Stop features two queer women will-they-won't-they-ing for a heart wrenchingly numerous amount of chapters while the threads of mystery get ever more intriguing. But don't fret: The heightenings and culminations in the second half of the book make the heartache oh so worth it. I recommend this book to anyone in need of a realistic and hopeful romance. And although this book reads like young adult fiction, there are some certainly not young adult scenes. For appropriate readers, though, it adds to the investment in these women.
