I’m calling it now, this will be one hell of a series.
At the start of this whirlwind of a story, Aryella is weak, nearly starved, and on the cusp of brokenness as she grieves the brutal deaths of her father and younger brother. Recovering from a head injury that stole most of her memories and being abandoned by her mother sure doesn’t help either. Enter Gemma, Aryella’s closest thing to a friend, and a gaggle of newcomers who casually share a prophecy starring Aryella. Among them is Smyth, the giant, broody dude tasked with delivering Aryella safely to their destination, a task he takes extremely serious. So begins their epic journey.
Hidden magic, immersive world-building, action, palpable tension, sloooooow burn forbidden love, and realistic character growth—The Silversmith has it all! I love a good romantasy and the vibes were all there. Claren did a great job making it just the right amount of predictable, yet surprisingly twisty. Plus, who doesn’t love a morally questionable MMC that’s absolutely obsessed with the FMC?
