This is another chilling mystery from Melanie.
The opening chapter draws you in and makes you want to continue reading. I mean, that cover hooks you before you even open the book to the first page. With the striking image and the tag 'My mother is dead. I think I killed her.'
The whole story revolves around Emily, having returned home for Sydney and her desperate battle to unravel the mystery surrounding her mother's death and whether she really had anything to do with it.
Emily is a great character, and it was great to work backwards with Emily to work out what happened and fill in the blanks of drunken memory loss!
There's a breadcrumb trail that both Emily and Reader follow!
As usual, Melanie crafts an intricate tale of twists and turns that are both mysterious and thrilling.
Can you guess what happens??
