What a ride! This book got me hooked, grabbed me and took me on a journey: from intrigue and laughter jiang and his tree shenanigans lol to high tension, jaw clenching pace that has you almost trying to read faster to find out what happens next, and devastating emotional damage 💔 Insanely good read, annoyed at myself it's been sitting on my shelf for a year! 😂🙈 RF Kuang has such a talent for writing such a diverse group of characters that you can connect with, and then flips your reality on its head like an emotional throat punch. Bring on book 2!!
