Love a sunshine grump dynamic but Knox’s whole vibe screamed toxic masculinity which is a hard pass from me. Also, I don’t understand how this book was so long and yet all of the action related to the mystery of her sister’s disappearance happened in the last like one tenth of the book. ALSO, also, Naomi just speaks like a normal adult, why does everyone think that’s so weird? Somewhere in an alternate universe there’s a version of this book that’s a fun mystery about found family and alternative family structures with a romance B plot that I love. This is not that book.
