I cried at times. Reading this book I felt like I was transported there in the world it created with the characters. I found myself getting wrapped up in the story and not wanting it to end! The characters were complicated and diverse and I didn’t find myself wincing at how they portrayed the LGBTQ community. Even moments where I hoped they would come back and address certain things/issues they did, and boldly! (being vague here because I don’t want to give any spoilers away!)
I didn’t think I liked futuristic dystopian fiction but this was the perfect book to start the year on.
