Hateship, Friendship, Courtship, Loveship, Marriage: Stories by Alice Munro

4.0

Stories that have a muse who is flighty and larger than life and unreliable, and a narrator who is pragmatic. Keeps getting you to pity the muse who is being victimized but then they suddenly erupt into awesomeness and disappear, and the narrator is left pining for them forever. Interesting setups, especially the old folks home with Fiona and Grant.
