It's well-written, and Gyasi once again does a great job of capturing time and generational trauma, but the narrative was just not as capturing for me as Homegoing, and my personal issues with religion, theism, and family addiction made this a difficult read at times.
Graphic: Religious bigotry and Addiction
Moderate: Drug use and Drug abuse
