Tin Queen by Devney Perry

4.0

The final book in this series! Tin Queen is the sixth book in the Clifton Forge series, and this book focuses on Emmett and Nova. I recommend you read the previous five books, as they are all interconnected. Emmett has watched all his brothers find love and settle down, but he never thought it was in the cards for him. He meets a woman, Nova, at the bar and they agree to a fling. The fling becomes an everyday occurrence and soon they are spending all their time together. The only thing is, Nova, is the daughter of the leader of the Warriors, whom he helped put in jail, and she is seeking revenge. Nova is sure she knows Emmett, based on what her father has told her. When she starts to get to know him, she learns that the Tin Gypsies and Emmett Stone are not as her father described. What happens when she starts to have feelings for the enemy?

This book really, truly wraps up so much in this series. Things that started way back at the beginning of this series we revisit and we get to learn more about the rival biker gangs. However, I like that this isn't a "biker romance". This (and the series) is about former biker gang members, choosing to break out of that life and find love.

Nova was an interesting character. She has thoughts of how things are, based on her dad's stories, but watching her learn and figure things out was perfect. You could truly see the conflict she was constantly going through with helping her dad and falling in love.

Emmett is a guy who thinks he is protecting his found family and watching out for them. He doesn't realize he has invited danger right inside his own doors. He is so conflicted when he finds it out, I felt for him.

These two had amazing chemistry. Though neither wanted to completely give in, you could see them slowly falling for each other. There were times when I didn't know what was going to happen. So much turmoil both internally and between themselves led to an angst-ridden book.

Overall, this was a great end to the series. Not only did we get the Emmett story we needed, but we got a nice wrap-up with everyone in the book.

Read if you like: revenge, enemies to lovers, no strings attached
