This book, like the whole trilogy, is really well-written and a great read in that sense, but it is BLEAK. All of the characters are completely miserable and tortured at some point. But the reason that's so distressing is that all of the characters are so vivid and real. Also, there was one point in this book when I was so incensed by how stupid Fitz was being that I almost threw the book across the room. But I'm still glad I read it, and it was a great conclusion to the series. The world-building was awesome, too!
