I like this series more and more as I go on. Even though it’s fantasy, I take inspiration from hearing about a lady scientist, and I think I will enjoy reading actual eighteenth-century womens’ lit more because of this book. I am impressed that Brennan keeps several major threads of mystery going throughout the series: mysteries at each location, mysteries about the origins of dragons, mysteries about the Draconeans, and of course the tension between where Isabella is in terms of recognition and where Lady Trent will eventually end up. Lots of fun.
