I really enjoyed the book, it was beautifully written and captivating. I have to say I didn't really care about Monique, I just feel like her character lacked a bit of depth, especially compared to Evelyn.
I think the big plot about her dad felt a bit forced to create a connection between Evelyn and Monique.

But since the focus of the book is more on Evelyn anyway, it didn't bother me that much and I still think it's a great book.
