Not my favourite, this one got a little repetitive for me, but it has its share of charms. Not least of which, it made me feel less icky about a previous book's ending that felt a little too happy for how much horror I associate with the events of its conclusion. So, seeing that it was not, in fact, a horror story intended to be a HEA is genuinely reassuring, and if I'd known it would have that, I'd probably have read this sooner after release. Still, very excited to find out what's next, especially with that POV change coming up.
