If you enjoyed reading Earthlings, you'll love this too!
This was my first Ottessa Moshfegh book and definitely not my last!
Lapvona is a book made for the people who understand and enjoy dark comedy. It's essence almost seemed to me like a Shakespearean play and I adored it. It was very strange yet enticing and pulled me into another world of vivid curiosity. I enjoyed how the book utilised dramatic irony and made it seem more comical than grotesque, although it was definitely gross at times! Lapvona was a book I could not put down! I would recommend this to anyone who love books that make you slightly question yourself for reading such a thing yet reads it anyways and utterly enjoys it!
