Wow, 'The Nine' really grabbed me. It tells the incredible story of nine women who survived the absolute worst during WWII in Nazi prison camps and their journey to freedom. It's not presented as a history book, but more like their personal story, which makes it so powerful. You can tell the author did their research, talking to friends, family and survivors to fill in all the details. It's a thoughtful and thorough read. If you go for the audiobook, there's a song and a quick interview with the author at the end.
