Conquer Me by Geneva Lee

2.0

While this was better than book 1, it still was slightly odd. The constant push and pull off Alexander and Clara's relationship felt tiring after a while. And their co-dependency on each other is not healthy at all.

Another thing that bothered me - I think once David openly came out he suddenly became the stereotypical gay man. He comes out and immediately it's - "oh plan my party," or "help me clothes shop," or "let's decorate together." It bothered me that he was turned into something so stereotypical.

I think the Pepper storyline was a bit far-fetched as well. What was her end game? By putting the blame on Alexander did she really see marriage to him as a possible future? And why the hell does Jonathan get off scot-free? That storyline infuriated me.
