It was such a delight to dive back into the world of Briar University. I loved reading about the hockey, the campus and OF COURSE all the characters from the Off Campus and Briar U series again. I feel like these series are Elle Kennedy‘s absolute strong point and I could read 1000 books set at Briar U. That being said, I loved Gigi and Ryder. Their banter was soooooo good as was the spice. They really completed each other and made each other grow. However, there were some things I didn‘t really dig about this book First, I hated how long it took Gigi to finally tell Case to fuck off and leave her the fuck alone. I get that she didn’t want to hurt his feelings and that the keeping the relationship a secret part played into building some tension in the story but I just hated how possessive Case was and how he wouldn’t take no for an answer. That made me kinda hate him even though he made a turn for the better in the end, defending Ryder at the press conference and all. And I absolutely hated the plot twist wedding. Omg, how stupid! Sorry but this made me think about only giving this book 4 stars and that says something as I absolutely loved the rest of it. I also liked all the new characters we got introduced to especially Beckett. Can’t wait to read more about him and I hope he gets his own book!
All in all, I‘m really looking forward to the next part of this series and I couldn‘t be happier that Elle Kennedy is writing Briar U books again 😍
