this book hurt my feelings! i knew deep down how it'd end, but i still wished something else would happen. our narrator is super relatable (to me, at least). this is probably the weirdest book i've ever read, and it kept me guessing and wondering until the very end. it also did a good job at not just info-dumping all the logistic stuff, and let it flow naturally.
i'm glad i have a physical copy to live on my bookshelf forever more.

Graphic: Body horror, Death, Gore, Sexual assault, Violence, Blood, Abortion, Pregnancy, Alcohol, Injury/Injury detail
Moderate: Animal death, Bullying, Child death, Self harm, Excrement, Kidnapping, Grief, Cannibalism, Car accident
sexual assault is not traditional, main character is forcibly impregnated, but not through penetration, through more "mystical" means.
