This was an interesting little dystopian novel! It reminds me a lot of The Giver or Uglies with the government removing a society’s emotions and care for one another in order to create an easier to control populace. I have quite a few questions after reading about the government system though. Do they get to skip the cure or does this system eventually hold up itself? Do they really believe in the cause of curing love or do they use it as a tool to get away with heinous acts (which would be really on brand for the government)?
Also, that cliffhanger was mean.
