  • Unsettling descriptions of crimes
  • Overwhelming feeling mirroring main character position
  • Comfort from setting and realness of town

I didn’t like:
  • Female main character written to only care for sex and work
  • Detective happened to stumble into the full crime
  • John being so insanely stupid 
  • More of a dog napping book than torture book
