Savage Sin by Helen Hardt, Helen Hardt

3.0

Savage Sin is the tragic story between Falcon 'Savage' Bellamy and Savannah 'Vannah' Gallo. The two find themselves on opposite sides of the law; Falcon is an ex-con trying to find redemption after completing an 8-year sentence for involuntary manslaughter. Savannah is the parole officer assigned to Falcon's case.

From their first meeting, instance attraction sparked the fires between them, unable to resist the passion and the urge. Given that it's highly unethical, Falcon and Vallan shield their romance from the outside world; however, the two continue to run into one another at unexpected times throughout the book.

I wanted to like this story more, but it felt a little flat. The steamy scenes were spicy, but I couldn't connect to the characters for some reason. I ended up finishing this read in just a few hours as it was easy to digest. I would have liked a little more character development and more angst between Falcon and Vannah. I will also note that this story ends with an unexpected cliffhanger, but I'm not sure if I would continue the series. Overall, it was a good read, but just needed a little more oomph.
