celiapowell 's review for:
Club Dead
by Charlaine Harris
Bill has been strangely distant from Sookie, and then after telling her he needs to go away for a while, he disappears. Eric thinks he knows where Bill is to be found, and enlists Sookie's help in tracking him down. This was an exciting mystery, and I liked the investigation and elaborate rescue plan, and Sookie's torn feelings about the whole enterprise.
The scene in the car trunk was disturbing, and I disliked how it wasn't really brought up again - probably my only major gripe. There were lots of elements to the mystery in this book, but I think they all came together well.
