When I looked this book up on Goodreads, as I usually do before I start reading, I was apprehensive because most of the reviews weren't all that positive. That being said, after finishing this book, I will never be influenced by reviews ever again, because I LOVED THIS BOOK! It kept me guessing till the very end. It didn't give me time to think up a possible ending, because there were always new pieces of the puzzle coming to light that ruined all my theories. It left me dumbfounded till the last page, literally!
I will admit, starting with the 6th book in a series, I did feel that there was some history with the detectives working this case that I clearly had no idea about. However, it did in no way affect my enjoyment of this book!
So far, best psychological thriller I have read in 2020. I will definitely be picking up the other books in the series.
