The Lost Quilter by Jennifer Chiaverini

3.0

This is a continuation of the story of the slave woman from The Runaway Quilt. It was good to read some more of the history but it also bothered me. I know slavery existed and what Jennifer wrote is probably fairly accurate if not lightend up a little but it still bothered me. I don't see how people can treat anyone or anything like that. I really liked the characters of Joanna, Titus, Hannah, and George. The white folk, especially Miss Evangeline, needed a good dose of self sufficiency and compassion.
