A Lion to Guard Us by Clyde Robert Bulla

3.0

A decent depiction of life in that era and what it was like for the poor of England going to the colonies. However, I found the story a little bland. I didn't really feel any excitement or suspense, just meh. It wasn't a particularly uplifting or inspiring book either. The dialogue is pretty boring too. I did like the commitment to family and love for family that was the main theme throughout.
