This collection was so addictive, I found myself devouring 2 to 3 stories a day. The creativity and cultural foundation spread throughout each story was magnificent. Ogundiran can write and first caught my attention with his story in the Africa Risen anthology.

Here the stories are more sinister, with a subtle touch of cold darkness and evil that stays with the reader. And yet he is also able to infuse light and hope where one would think there wasn't any. There are stories of transformation, greed, power, and hunger all woven through with fantastical elements that are captivating.
