Dragon Ever After by Louisa Masters

4.0

Set 3 years after the events of the Hidden Species concluding book, this starts out with a dragon crash landing in the shed of a property Percy is renting for the last 6 months, bring Brandt back into line of sight, and Brandt likes him there.

Percy sighs. “That seems to be catching on. Lucky me,” he mutters.

I smiled the whole time I read this, it was just wonderful. I really liked being able to see Percy as he tried to figure out who he is now and though Brandt is a giant puppy, nearly all the time, they really work well together, as well as how much Percy and the Dragon clan need each other.

The real question is should you read the first series, before this one? I don’t believe you have to, however it does spoil events from the first series and I do believe you get a better understanding of who Percy is if you read Hidden Species first, but I don’t believe it’s a must.
