The Scorch Trials by James Dashner
1.0
Finally over, ugh.
It was was so long, and it has only 360 pages, it took me 8 days to read it...
This book was so strange, when I started it I was really into it and I really liked it, but after approximatively 80 pages it was kind of boring, I don't know how to explain. The entire reading experience was annoying, I both wanted to read and continue but don't wanted to at the same time.
SPOILERS AHEAD :
At the moment they entered the city, I was bored and I forced myself to read because I wanted to finish it. I was particulary bored by the whole "Trust me, don't trust me, trust me, I betrayed you, OMG kiss me I'm so sorry" thing between Thomas and Teresa. In fact Thomas was annoying himself, the guy passed out so often it became ridiculous. And I'm SORRY but the "ending attack" with these weirds bulbd monsters was one of the most ridiculous thing I have ever read, I was like WTF is that shit ? and it took 10 damn pages. And the ending pissed me off, not in a really good way, like, these poor boys have been through ennough shit. I hope there will be a big revelation or something in the 3rd book.
There were still moments that I enjoyed though, so I gave it 3 stars because 2 would have been underrated.
I'm really afraid for the third book because I don't particularly want to know what's going to happen so it probabaly will be a long book. but I still want to finish the story since I already baught the 2 first books, it would be a waist not to read the final one. But I'm not excited or impatient.
