"Are we the baddies?"

Yes, yes you are.

The final issue of the series hits a few of points, and touches on them rather well I think. Monstrous races are not always evil because they're monsters. The DM is not the enemy of the players, but the facilitator of their story. I like that we finally get to see some of the family members actually roleplay, since the games in the earlier issues were combat heavy killing sprees (which, given Rick was "running" them, makes sense).

If I have a complaint, it's the happy ending. I will acknowledge that I am very inexperienced in the world of Rick and Morty. But from the episodes I have watched, a happy ending is a rarity. So having one here doesn't quite fit for me.
