The Wisteria Society of Lady Scoundrels by India Holton

Did not finish book. Stopped at 45%.
I really liked this book at the beginning, but the humour and sarcasm became a bit tedious as the book went on. It reads like a bit of a comedic stage play, and I feel like a film adaption would be good, but reading it felt like a bit of a chore towards the middle.

I felt like everything was revealed too soon. I didn't read enough to know how Ned knew Cecelia's mother, but the cause of her death, among other things, was told to us too soon. I felt like there was nothing keeping me hooked on the plot, as everything we'd either already found out or could guess from the clues.

The characters were okay, but I just wasn't invested in what happens to them. Not the book for me, but maybe for someone else.
