Dating Nashville by Ann Maree Craven, Michelle MacQueen

This book had EVERYTHING except the romance...there was a fake relationship, misunderstanding, mention of drug and alcohol abuse, deadbeat mother, rebuilding of a relationship with said deadbeat parent, death by cancer, betrayal, the president’s gay son, the MC going from saying he’s not a famous celebrity to claiming he really is that famous and back again, lots of paparazzi and hashtags, grand gestures, shitty exes, public declarations of love and a HEA that honestly felt completely tacked on and not even that convincing.

There was so much happening, and none of it was even remotely convincing that these two deserved to be together, let alone in the same room. Becks’ mum passed away, and instead of dealing with THAT, he was on live TV gushing about Nicky. Like WTF...

So much went unresolved in this book, and seeing that the next story is about Nicky’s stupid ex, I’m definitely not reading the rest of this series.

This was my first book by the authors and I am definitely not going to be in a hurry to find another book.
