Anne of the Island
by L.M. Montgomery
[2.5 stars]
Characters... I grew to appreciate Davy! His letters had me giggling. Other than that, I really didn't enjoy the new characters in this book. There's a growing list of names with basic descriptions and unexciting plots. And I guess this is symbolic of real life but characters would go unmentioned for so long I would forget who they were. I thank L.M. though, for bringing back past characters.
Why did L.M. Montgomery introduce Diana's child like that?? Like Diana wouldn't have written to Anne? And they didn't name him??
I appreciate the amount of Gilbert in this book compared to the last. I appreciate the author's patience.
