Things I liked:

• A lot of the older characters like Fidele, Maquin, and Gar continued to compel me.
• Many individual storylines that began in Ardan coming to a conclusion before the final book so there is less bloating.
• MORE GIANTS !!!! I adore Laith.
• More subversion of the Chosen One Trope.

Things I disliked:

• Cywen’s whole deal and the direction it appears to be heading in; a shame because I was excited for her.
• Inconsistencies in strength and ability when in battle vs outside it.
• Still really in the dark about much of the Otherworld and fearing an unnecessary exposition dump in Wrath.
