The PostScript Murders by Elly Griffiths
5.0

I thoroughly enjoyed this. The Stranger Diaries was so good, and this followup did not disappoint me. It was worth my six-month wait at the library.

One thing I appreciated was the diversity of characters: people of colour, queer people, lots of women, and several elderly folks. The unlikely friend trio of Natalka, Benedict, and Edgar just charmed me so.

It's a murder mystery, so there are murders (duh) but it's not violent or gory. It is mostly a cozy mystery although I suppose not strictly so, since it features a police detective alongside the amateur sleuths.

If you like clever cozy mysteries with very well-drawn, well-rounded characters and witty dialogue, you'll like this.
