Dragon by Nate Cosby, Chris O'Halloran, Saladin Ahmed, Hassan Otsmane-Elhaou

3.0

I backed this on Kickstarter because I've enjoyed Ahmed's run on Miles Morales. And the premise sounded like a neat twist on the Dracula mythos -
"Muslim knight and Christian nun vs. Dracula in the Middle Ages". And it is. The art is good, evoking classic US comic book style. But the story is unevenly paced. The first half was a nice slow burn introducing our characters. And then the second half rushed through the rest of the story. If it had paid off the climb up the mountain with an equally compelling and rich climax I would be loaning my copy to everyone I know. As it is, it's okay.
