Girl in Ice by Erica Ferencik

Extrapolating on some of the current unusual climate situations, Ferencik tells the story of some researchers stationed in the Arctic who have secretly uncovered, and thawed out, a young girl from another century. Val, an expert linguist and brother of a man who died (suicide? murder?) while part of the research team, is asked to come and try to decipher the language the girl is speaking. Val has to confront her extreme anxiety issues while trying to communicate with the girl, discover what's really going on at the station and search for clues about her brother. The adventure gets more and more unlikely as time goes on and the ending is a bit convoluted but it was an entertaining read.
