Born of Betrayal by Sherrilyn Kenyon

4.0

One element that I've found in every one of the League novels is how the characters can grab me by the throat and hit me with such emotion. How nothing is what it seems on the surface, and that everyone has a past that they are trying to live past. In high school Fain found the woman of his dreams but because of blackmail had to let her go but she never knew why. Galene could never really hate Fain for leaving her since he gave her her greatest gift, her son, but she couldn't forgive him either. When they are forced to work together the sparks are still there both of lust and hate. Can they work through the past before in order to save their world? I really love how Sherrilyn Kenyon is able to weave her stories together and bring some amazing dynamics and world building to her paranormal romances. I do wish she had a character tree at the beginning of her books to remind me where each character fits in within the series. Another amazing read, can't wait to continue the series!
