Mistakes Were Made by Meryl Wilsner

I remember seeing the announcement for this book when it was first posted, so safe to say everything on it intrigued me but idk. Like reading “MILF” I understood that there was gonna be an age gap, I just didn’t realise it would be as big as it is so that kinda threw me for a loop :/ (bc being 21 myself, I couldn’t ever imagine getting with someone aged 40) maybe if Cassie was 24/25 I would’ve enjoyed it more and been able to look passed it cause at 21/22 her brain isn’t fully developed. And the constant mention of "she’s my best friends mother/she’s my daughters best friend" was kinda annoying, like yeah I get you can’t help who you end up liking but being the elder party, she coulda put a stop to it.

I also feel like we didn’t get to see or feel much of their romance? Like yeah, they hooked up and talked a lot but besides the confession, non of it ever seemed romantic? Especially with the time jump and the ending, idk I just wish we got to see more of it.

And nah, I personally think Parker got over it all a little too quick, like what do you mean you’ve been fucking my best friend/mom for half a year? Like yeah, she said she was angry at them
but to then give her blessing? How you letting someone go from being your best friend to your step mom lol

But besides all that, I did like the book and I’ll probably still read their future works bc I did really enjoy ‘something to talk about’’ but yeah
