I havenโt read all of JJโs books but Iโve read this entire series and I feel like each and every one of these books gets better and better. This is by far my favorite!
I was literally fan girling these two the whole time, like I was giddy and smiling and kicking my feet because this was so cute. Very low angst and just so darn sweet with these two.
I loved that we got to see more of Max and Marcosโs relationship. I am so glad that Marcos finally got to talk to Max about how he was feeling to what had happened to Max. I love Luke. Heโs so fun. The whole baking scene had me dying with laughter because whatever they made was not banana bread!
I loved how patient Nate was with Marcos. There was a huge mental health in this book and I love how we got to see Marcos grow as a person and to his own journey of his own recovery. Even though what happened to Max was terrible, Marcos went through his own personal hell that night and I loved how well written JJ wrote his trauma.
The whole touch aversion was so well written. Iโve never read a book like this and it had me drawn in from the moment we meet Marcos. I also loved how Nate knew when not to touch Marcos.
The surprise date was super cute. I loved how Max gave him ideas in what he liked.
And oh man, when we get the many chapters of ranch life with Nate and Marcos, I was a goner. The horse names were so ridiculous. Shrimp? Tuna? I was dead! When we find out that Tuna was Marcosโs surprise, I wanted to cry because that right there was so sweet!
The way that the spice scenes are written out in each book of this series is so beautiful, but this one was really full of love and intimacy and I love how they had to really trust one another to really go down that path.
I received a copy of this book and this is my honest review.
