Tales from the Umbrella Academy: You Look Like Death, Vol. 1 by Gerard Way, Shaun Simon
2.0
I didn't really like You Look Like Death—the art and the story both left me underwhelmed. I did read the whole thing, so obviously it wasn't the worst, but I wasn't interested in the story or most of the characters and I found the artwork a little hard to follow at times.
There are also, like... monkey vampires just THERE, without explanation? I haven't watched S3 of the Netflix show so maybe I've missed something.
I am glad Way is still "honoring his skills as both writer and artist" (sincerely, more power to him if it's what he enjoys, even though that is a goofy-ass way to describe attending school), but I'll skip the UA comics and stick to the show—just one of those properties I prefer to see on a screen, I guess.
