im glad i finally read this!! there are so many lines i found very beautiful.  i found myself prematurely flinching when the author mentions his first love, as queer love (especially for people of color) seemingly always ends in heartbreak and trauma.  this book was good, but i wish i was in a different state of mind.  will probably reread sometime soon.
