The Book Thief is a beautiful, unique story of the Holocaust. Many stories based during the Holocaust involve a part in a concentration or work camp. This book is unusual because of its absence of that aspect. One thing I will say I did not love is it’s lack of action. I was always waiting for one moment of a desperate, crazy scene, but that did not happen for a while. Although this is true, the book was not easy to put down and the author did a great job of connecting the readers and the characters. Overall, 5/5 stars and would definitely recommend to a friend.
