Lovely! Very human, heartwarming. Several moments require suspension of disbelief (mechanics of how court procedures work, for instance). Interesting how the author creates a sense of place through her description of the hotel, the MC's apartment, etc., but also never mentions where the story takes place. The characters often read as very British, but it seems to take place in the US? Adds to the charm for me.
