I did NOT like the main character Blake. He’s a VERY gendered norms thinker and only thinks things like, “men aren’t supposed to do/feel/say things like that” and I don’t agree. Because he spent a LOT of time talking about what men should or shouldn’t be doing, it took away from the reader wanting to root for him- he’s a jerk!

I did like that
Krista was actually Whitney, and she found the woman who stole her name. But I didn’t like how easy it was for Krista to get away with so much wrongdoing. I know she’s a psychopath and doesn’t have remorse or empathy, but it would’ve been nice for her to get caught in one of her acts of cruelty.
Additionally, the epilogue didn’t feel like the story was fully over and we never find out why
The roommate/tenant took “Krista’s” real name Whitney,  as her own.

This story was alright, but not as good as The Housemaid.
