Fault Lines by Emily Itami

2.0

this book had great prose and was easy to read. for the first time in what feels like forever i didn't hate the MC, i thought her wittiness, sarcastic-ness, and bluntness were the highlights of this book.
this was a very honest portrayal about the fault lines that that exist in relationships and it felt very relatable. the MC was very relatable and i loved the exploration of what it could feel like to feel like an outsider to your own culture.
i will say that the side characters, especially kiyoshi, had so much potential that could've been explored which would've added so much more depth to the story.
