This book. This freaking book.
To start off, I listened to the audiobook. Keep in mind of tried listening to audiobooks over the years and they just were never my jam. I’d always get distracted and had no idea what I was listening to by the time I tuned back in. They were never super engaging and the narrator usually talked very monotone and I would just get bored. I heard so many good things about this audiobook though so I decided to give it a shot.
Boy were they RIGHT.
There were two narrators; a man for the MMC and a woman for the FMC. The dynamic between the two narrators was impeccable. Their tone, their accents, the inflection in their voice. They drew me in from the very first page. It made me feel like I was just listening to a movie and I vision everything in my mind!
I’ll never look at cookies & cream the same again though.
