33 Unplayed Voicemails by Melissa de la Cruz
2.0

33 Unplayed Voicemails by Melissa De La Cruz is a short contemporary romance. The book starts off with Evelyn leaving Cam at the alter. Then rewind 2 years...

Evelyn and Cam meet at a party, hook up and exchange numbers. Cam loses his phone and cue in the biggest miscommunication trope I've ever read!

The entire book is about Evelyn and Cam leaving voice-mails for eachother. They go through the typical start of a relationship and progress until their wedding day. The entire time they leave messages for eachother knowing damn well that neither listens to them. So what needs to be said never does. Through some miracle Cam proposes but Evelyn ends up leaving him at the alter. Come to find out it was all a big miscommunication.

Although the idea was great and I actually enjoyed listening to the book, this is not something I would ever read again or even recommend. Solely because it really is just one big miscommunication and it got very frustrating.
