The Wonderful Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum
5.0

This is a nice fast read and has aged exceptionally well. There is strangely no racism in it, or religious intolerance, or sexism. I rather liked it more than the movie, as we weren't left with that annoying ending where it was all a dream (which is a huge cop out), and the book includes a lot of events that didn't happen in the movie. The only thing I would change is her journey to the witch of the south...she could have made that journey in seconds using what she had, but instead walked there.
