Another quick read, but with a little bit of meat on the bones. The characters grew on me, and after some time, I found myself hopeful for a positive resolution. Some of the challenges seemed easily solved by the element of magic, but the author did a decent job of providing some character flaws that challenged an easy resolution, and turned me on some of the characters as events developed. Nicely done.
