It took me a while to finish this but it was worth every page.
This told me it was a terminally ill grandmother trying to make amends with her family/work over their family history issues. It still didn’t prepare me for the utter destruction of my soul of the hospital scene. If you’ve lost a loved one after they fell into a coma, get the tissues ready.
The sub plots are all over the place but in a good way. I was really interested in the murder mystery but the drama of what happened before Avery was born between her mother and her grandmother sucked me in!
I laughed, I cried, and I wanted to see more of this world afterword.
YA books really know how to educate people, accept them and make your soul hurt afterwards.
